The Earth is badly wounded and we human beings are responsible. Through our ignorance, fear and greed we have essentially amputated ourselves from the intricate and delicate web of Creation.
Perhaps the first act of redemption is to ask and then to face the consequences of the Big Question: how did we get into this predicament?

Billions of people don’t get up every morning with the intention of killing the planet. Yet, that has been the effect of our collective actions, day after day spanning centuries. Therefore, it is not a problem of conscious intention, but of a lack of awareness of the ethical design error of the institutional system-structure of industrial civilization.

Informed readers know that we are very close to the point of no return for ecological recovery sufficient to sustain large mammals and humanity as we know it. We are close to the edge of the cliff of ecocide.

We must — we will — strive to survive. The core message of this website is that only through love and reason, respect and reverence for all life, and a return to a moral integrity worthy of the human will we be able to extend our sojourn here.

Every human society across history that organized itself as a civilization separate and divorced from the wild has collapsed.

The earth is alive. It is part of us. We are part of it.  To continue to destroy the physical basis of biological life is suicidal to our species.
We cannot carry on this way.
